Obituary for Glenn George Foster

Glenn George  Foster
Glenn George Foster, age 91, peacefully passed away at his home on February 17, 2018.

Glenn was born April 26, 1926 in Red Creek, New York. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Fannie (George) Foster; his sisters, Dorothy (Bopp) Pagony and Katherine Foster (infant); and his wives, Pauline (Phelps) Foster and Helen (Wagner) Foster.

He is survived by his children; Sandra Foster, Garry Foster, and Marsha (Foster) Bryant and her husband, Bud Bryant; his grandsons, Vince Bryant, Marcus Bryant and his wife Sarah, Nick Bryant and his wife Elizabeth, and their children Oliver and Abigail.

He is also survived by his caretaker and close friend, Marcia Wilcox.

Glenn served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war he graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Mathematics. Glenn had a very successful career in the emerging computer field as a software developer and systems executive management with several major companies; Aberdeen Testing Grounds, IBM, RCA, and SAIC.

Glenn also cared greatly for his community, joining Pikes Peak Sertoma and serving as it's President, Chairmain of the Board, and finally it's Governor. He was a long standing member and supporter of the Broadmoor Community Church.

Glenn enjoyed watching those Denver Broncos and attending Colorado Rockies home games, a good game of bridge, and doing his daily crossword and jumble puzzles.

Glenn was also a Tennessee Squire and enjoyed his three fingers of "Gentleman Jack".

Glenn is finally at peace and reunited with those who have passed before him. Hew enjoyed a wonderful life blessed by his loving Lord, filled with his love of family and friends.

An informal Memorial service will be held March 10, 2018 at 10:00 am at The Broadmoor Community Church, 315 Lake Avenue in Colorado Springs, 80906. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, Glenn requested donations be made to Broadmoor Community Church.
