Obituary for Mark A. DAVIS
Mark Allen Davis, age 60, of Fountain, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019. He was born December 29, 1958 in San Diego, California.
He moved from San Diego, California to Denver, Colorado in 1997. In 2016, he moved to Fountain, Colorado with his wife, Olesia. They built their house and made many good friends. Their neighbors have been a blessing since day one.
Since 14 years old, Mark worked to pay the bills. He was his mother’s only son, and after growing up with four women in the house, he would say, “Nothing scares me.” He loved his family and had a great impact on his daughters and nephews.
Mark had no problem expressing his love for Olesia. He always said he was the luckiest man in the world, being married to a chef, because he loved to eat. She would sometimes remind him that his love for her was not only in his heart but also in his waistline. His favorite quote to her was “Baby, I don’t care where we will live, as long as we’re together. Even if we are in the middle of a tornado, I will yell, ‘Baby, hang on to me.’”
Motorcycling was Mark’s passion. Anytime he could get a ride in, he took advantage of that. There were many road trips with Olesia, and these memories will always be treasured.
Hiking and biking kept his love for the outdoors always at his fingertips.
Not to be outdone by these hobbies, Mark enjoyed meeting friends at the bar, laughing with them, and telling stories and jokes that will always be remembered.
Mark worked at Kuni Lexus in Greenwood Village and Colorado Springs. With each person he encountered, he went above and beyond with his customer service. Being a social bug, he was valued equally by customers and co-workers. They called him “Mr. Smiley” because his smile radiated throughout the day. Lexus has lost a shining star, and that light meant something more than day to day interaction with Mark. “It represented the living…reminding us of the right path” (Nehru). The dealership will be closed on Monday to celebrate his life.
He is survived by his wife, Olesia; sisters, Deborah Vorties and Darlene James; daughters, Marlayna Davis (Mark) and Brandi Olson (Jeff); nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mark is preceeded in death by his mother, Pearlena Lillian Barnes and his sister, Carol Willis.
