Hope Winkler 77, beloved wife, of Charles Winkler, mother, of Dennis, June, and Jer, grandmother, of Sean, Micayla, Raymond, James, Shelby, and Scott, and great-grandmother of 9, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully on March 2, 2019 surrounded by family. Born in Logan, Utah on 5 May, 1941 she traveled the world while growing up. She graduated from high school and attended some college. She met her lifelong sweetheart, Charles E. Winkler in Leavenworth, Kansas and married him on 15 August, 1960.

Hope enjoyed reading, crocheting, needlepoint, and other creative pastimes.
Cooking – Bread, gravy, eclairs, roast (even in Mexico).

Hope worked in several bookkeeping positions in companies from Minneapolis to Los Angeles. She followed her husband as he progressed up the corporate ladder never complaining as she gave up family and friends. She settled into the job she loved at Woodmoor Water & Sanitation. She worked with the best people and truly enjoyed the time she spent with them.

Mom loved her family and spent whatever time she could finding ways to be around them. From summers at Lake Powell to winters in Colorado, she was always ready. Her house was a revolving hotel as people were always welcome. She opened her house up to the Missionaries to stay. She was a selfless woman. She would give up anything to make another person happy. She was always ready with advice, wanted or unwanted. Her advice was given with the best of intentions, whether taken or not she would let you know what she thought.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles; son, Dennis Winkler (Linda); daughter, June Sawyer; son, Jerry Winkler; grandchildren Shelby Judkins (Grant); Scott Winkler (Elizabeth); Sean Winkler and Micayla Winkler. Great-grandchildren Jonas Judkins and Bjorn Judkins.
She is preceded in death by her parents Rex and Ruth Hampton.
