Obituary for Rita Louise Tschiggfrie
Rita Louise Tschiggfrie passed away February 15, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rita was born in Iowa to Clement and Anna Deeny.
She met her husband, Wayne, when she was a car hop and he was a gas jockey. They fell in love, married and raised their family in Dubuque, Iowa. They had many happy times with extended family, celebrating holidays and having picnics in the parks around Eastern Iowa.
They moved to Colorado Springs in 1982 where Rita continued to work in the medical profession as a receptionist and office manager.
She was a deeply loving, caring person. A devout catholic who devoted much of her life taking classes to enrich her beliefs. She also spent time helping others enrich their own beliefs. She also enjoyed antiquing and collecting with her husband. She also loved sitting in her garden and tending to her flowers. Overall, her family is what mattered most to Rita.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters; Margaret Kendall and Bernadine Scadden.
Rita is survived by her loving husband; Wayne, her children; Ellen (David) Margurite, Ann (Steven) Lopez, Lorrie (Paul) Adams, Paul (Sarah) Tschiggfrie, her brother; Tom Deeny, sister; Karen Wold, grandchildren; Amanda, Ryan, Nicole, Alex, Stefanie, Kristen, Thomas, Jacob, Rachel, Ashley, Jeff, and Steve, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
