Obituary for Faye Elvira Thompson
Faye E. Thompson was born on June 1, 1925 in Pagosa Springs, Coloradoto Porfirio and Elvira (Archibeque) Gallegos. She passed away January 24,2017 in her home with her family around her.
Faye worked as a waitress most of her life, a job she loved. In later years, she worked in retail. Faye was a people person and made many friends wherever she went. She was feisty and her faith in God got her through many rough times. She is survived by five children: Eleanor Griego, Jane Gurule, Pat Wood, Art Gurule, and Virginia Gurule and also a brother, Porfirio Gallegos. Also, surviving are 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. A son Harold Billings, her sister Josie Romero and brother Casimiro Gallegos preceded her in death.
A rosary and mass will be held at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church 927 N.Logan, Monday January 30, 2017 at 11 AM. Following mass, burial will take place at Ramah cemetery in Ramah, Colorado. A luncheon will be held after burial at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 574-8th St. Calhan, CO.
