Obituary for Ronald Henry Jones

Ronald Henry Jones

Ronald was born November 27th, 1947 and passed away June 7th, 2017. He lived for 58 years in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ronald was preceded in death by his father Ronald Earl Jones and his mother Carol Reiman Paul. He is survived by his son Ronald William Jones, his sister Jessica Anne Warren, his brother Dennis Fitzgerald, and his niece Kari Kennell Whitman.

Ronald grew up climbing Garden of the Gods. He loved the mountains. Ronald also loved history and antiques. He loved antiques so much that he opened up three wonderful antique shops. The last shop was called Remember When, on Colorado Avenue, which brought people back to their childhood as they roamed the shop. Collecting and finding bits of history at garage sales and estate sales was his passion. Sharing them with others was his joy. He retired to selling his collections on eBay and, as always, he delivered great customer service.

Ronald’s passions were also for the love of cats, birds and squirrels. He will be greatly missed by his cat Blinksy and his bird Gussie, as well as with all of the creatures he helped with his love and food.

We love you Ron, and by fighting the long battle with cancer you became our hero. We will carry you deep in our hearts and we will miss you everyday. Fly free from the pain.

A visitation will be held Thursday June 22nd, 2017 at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.
