Nancy Lee (Reid) Young was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 26, 1931. She departed this life on March 24, 2013 at the age of 81.
After the death of her husband, Nancy relocated to Colorado Springs, CO. There she spent several years as an employee of Compassion International, the Penrose Library System, and the Department of Human Services. She was a member of Radiant Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband George A. Young, Jr. and son-in-law Eugene A. Dantzler. Left to cherish her memory are five children: Cindy Young-Smith (Alvin) (Pittsburgh, PA), Mary Dantzler (Warren, MI), George “Al” Young, Tamara Christian (Eric) and P. J. Young, (Colorado Springs, CO). Siblings: William “Lindy” Reid (Stockbridge, GA), Mary Reid (Monument, CO), Robert B. Reid (Lois) (Irvinton, NJ), and David Reid (Monument, CO). Seven grandchildren, goddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
